German's Chocolate Cake - $80.00 ea.

In 1957, a recipe for "German's Chocolate Cake" appeared as the "Recipe of the Day" in The Dallas Morning News. German's chocolate cake, is a layered chocolate cake filled and topped with a coconut-pecan frosting. It was created by Mrs. George Clay, a homemaker from Dallas, Texas, who used the "German's Sweet Chocolate" baking chocolate introduced over a century earlier in 1853 by American baker Samuel German.

While we take some liberties with decoration we still use Mrs. Clay's original recipe. Our 9" 3-layer German's Chocolate Cake is sure to be your next favorite.
